Iyengar Inspired Adult Yoga Classes
@ 6.15pm Thursdays (60 minutes)
Most of the students have a little yoga experience, but choose this class as the pace isn't too intense, and many are coming back to yoga after a long break and want to go over the basics. Classes are themed each week. Please bring a mat and any other props you may have.
@ 7.30pm Thursdays (75 minutes)
If you are comfortable with the basics and would to develop your practice more, this class is for you. Poses are held for longer, we explore some level 2 asanas/pranayama and students will learn how to practise inversions -eg headstand and shoulder-stand. This class is a little longer to allow for some restorative practices - which are a great anti-dote to stress. Typically we end with mellow and low-energy poses - a great complement to the more active part of the class. All welcome!
What to expect:
Sara teaching style is clear and informed. Her weekly classes are always varied, and blend a strong and steady alignment based practice, with slower restorative poses and always includes pranayama and deep rest. She ensures that each student’s needs are met in a safe and comfortable environment. Sara uses props to help students to deepen their practice, support during rest or to help students get into poses that otherwise might not be possible.
Sara’s classes are meticulous in their planning. She is amazing with props and she gives everything in her class. She is caring, and attentive to each and every person and knows what everyone needs. Thanks for being so inspiring!- Dee McP
I always feel great after Sara’s classes – empowered, energised yet totally relaxed. - S McG
"Even in simple asanas, one is experiencing the three levels of quest: the external quest, which brings firmness of the body; the internal quest, which brings steadiness of intelligence; and the innermost quest, which brings benevolence of spirit." - BKS Iyengar
